The 6-unit Pre-MathCounts Preparation Group Classes are running weekly to help accepted students in grades 4-5 learn and practice vital math skills for the middle school MathCounts competition.

This is a 6 unit class.

Class Length: 1 hour and 15 minutes

Format: Online via Zoom (link will be shared with participants after registration)

Schedule: Mondays from 6 PM to 7:15 PM

Total Seats: 4

Fee Structure: $35 per student per class

• Payment details will be shared after registration.

Class Dates:

• December 2025: 8, 15, 22

• January 2025: break - no classes will be held during this month

• February 2025: Weekly classes resume February 9th

The student should meet the following prerequisites:

• In grades 4 - 5 (exceptions for younger students made by invitation and math level)

• Has successfully completed content covered in AoPS Prealgebra 1

• Currently enrolled in/ has successfully completed content covered in AoPS Prealgebra 2

The student is regularly expected to make time for the following:

• Homework: 3 - 5 hours per week

• Attendance: Consistent attendance is expected and required

  • Missing more than two classes without prior notice will result in the student forfeiting their seat to the next student on the waiting list

• Students are required to have an account on the Art of Problem Solving website.

• Students will be expected to purchase a book for the class following registration.
