Pratima has been an integral part of the Math Club since 2023. As a homeschooling parent, she is passionate about learning and sharing that enthusiasm with others. She actively engages with families, encouraging them to participate in workshops for the benefit of their students. We are grateful for her dedication, generosity, and the welcoming spirit she brings to our hospitality team.
About Our Mentors
We are deeply grateful to our mentors who support these workshops. All of them are either current or former students of our math programs, and they generously volunteer their time to guide younger learners. Through their efforts, they help our math club raise money for the India Association of New Hampshire’s (IANH https://www.ianh.org/) Education Department. Their commitment shows not only in the way they teach, but also in the way they give back to the community that once nurtured them.
About the Workshops
Our workshops are designed for students who want to explore math beyond the classroom. They provide an opportunity to see the beauty of problem-solving and to experience math as a creative and rewarding pursuit. As William Paul Thurston put it, “Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding.” This belief guides our workshops—helping students connect ideas, think critically, and uncover the deeper meaning behind the problems they solve.
About the IANH Education Department
The IANH Education Department organizes the NorthSouth contests (https://www.northsouth.org/contests/) each year, offering students in New Hampshire and Massachusetts a valuable platform to grow beyond the classroom. These contests serve as an important tool for building problem-solving skills, curiosity, and confidence. With the guiding principle that “every student is a winner,” the contests encourage participants to focus on bettering themselves—competing with their own past performance rather than against others.
